The Audit
Every engagement starts with a Platform Audit (Step 0). It’s a risk-free diagnostic that shows you exactly where you stand — and it produces the Scorecard that scopes the 14-Day Launch.
The audit is free for founding clients, and the fee is fully credited toward the Launch if you proceed. The cost savings it surfaces frequently offset part of the engagement.
What we assess
Section titled “What we assess”We review the platform across the three axes that matter most to a SaaS team:
- Reliability — single points of failure, backup and disaster-recovery posture, scaling headroom, deployment safety, key-person risk (“the whole stack lives in one head”).
- Security — exposure, identity and access, secrets handling, patch currency, and image and dependency hygiene.
- Cost — over-provisioning, idle and orphaned resources, and the biggest levers for cloud spend reduction.
How we run it
Section titled “How we run it”The audit is non-invasive and runs alongside your live product — we don’t change anything.
- Read-only access to the cloud account/subscription, the cluster, and the deployment pipelines.
- Automated review — configuration and posture scanning across infrastructure, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
- Manual review — a senior engineer interprets the findings in the context of your business, your stage, and your roadmap.
What you get: the Scorecard
Section titled “What you get: the Scorecard”The deliverable is the Platform Audit & Scorecard — a prioritized report, delivered on Day 5 of the Launch, that names:
- The current state across reliability, security, and cost.
- A prioritized, ranked list of findings.
- The top three wins available right now — whether or not you continue with us.
How it scopes the Launch
Section titled “How it scopes the Launch”The audit determines the complexity tier of the 14-Day Launch, so scope and price are fixed up front with no mid-migration surprises:
| Tier | Typical shape |
|---|---|
| Lite | Single environment, a basic stack |
| Standard | A typical Series-A SaaS platform |
| Complex | Multi-cluster / multi-environment |
The audit also decides the foundational choice the rest of the platform is built on: which cloud (AWS or Azure) and which CI provider we standardize on.
